About ConsumerRise

I love this country. That's exactly why I'm angry at its food industry.

This is independent investigative food intelligence — no sponsors, no advertisers, no one to please except the reader.

A note from the founder

I came to America as an immigrant. My family didn't have much, but we had something I still carry with me: we trusted this country. We trusted that the food on the shelf was safe, because why wouldn't it be?

Then I became a parent, and I started reading labels. Really reading them. Dyes I couldn't pronounce. Preservatives banned in other countries. "Natural flavors" that meant nothing. I got angry — not at America, but at an industry that treats American families as the last to know.

ConsumerRise is what I built with that anger. Every Tuesday, we publish one honest investigation into what's really in our food. We show our sources. We say when the science is uncertain. We don't sell supplements, we don't take food-industry money, and we never will.

I love this country. That's exactly why I hold its food industry to a higher standard.

What we stand for

  • Plain words. If a finding can't be explained simply, we haven't understood it well enough yet.
  • Shown sources. Every claim links to the regulator filing, the study, or the public record behind it.
  • Honest uncertainty. When experts disagree, we show the disagreement instead of picking a side for clicks.
  • Families first. We write for the parent in the grocery aisle at 6pm, not for the industry.
  • No conflicts. No food-industry advertising, no sponsored ingredients, no supplement sales. Ever.

The problem we solve

Ingredient labels are written by lawyers, for lawyers. "Natural flavors." "Spices." Chemical names with numbers. The average parent has about forty minutes to shop for a week of food — nobody has time to decode a chemistry degree in aisle seven.

Meanwhile, ingredients banned or warning-labeled in Europe sit on American shelves with no warning at all. That gap — between what regulators elsewhere know and what American shoppers are told — is where ConsumerRise works.

We do the reading so you don't have to. One ingredient, one investigation, every Tuesday.
